March Update

It's been a crazy couple of weeks here at the Gillie home. In just five short days, we leave Utah to move to Alabama! We're super excited for the warm weather. We've been busy packing and preparing for the trip. It will be nice once it is all over.

Originally we were planning on driving Jimmy's parent's van out to Alabama. Unfortunately, we were in a car accident that totaled the car.

So, now we are going to be driving Jimmy's Astro Van. We call her Ruby.

One downside to taking Ruby, is that most of her doors are not in working order. Recently, our brother, Alex, ripped off the back door handle. He's incredibly proud that he broke it off with his "bare hands". He even showed off the broken door handle to cute girls who happened to be walking by.

So, off to the junk yard we went in search of a replacement. It was quite the experience and we are quite proud of ourselves for not only finding a replacement, but for also installing it ourselves. Shout out to Bryan Wagner for the tool set he gave us when we got married....It's come in handy!

This guy was just chillin' in the hood of the car, so I snuck a picture. It was just too absurd.

Jimmy and Alex fixing the handle. Alex happened to be checking out a girl right as I took the picture.
The fixed door handle!

They were quite proud of themselves for being so manly.

So, while we might not be traveling in luxury, at least we will have working doors!

We also have been doing photo shoots in an effort to go out and do something without spending money. Usually we get online and pick a random park. This past week's park turned out to be a really ugly park, but we made the most of it.

This is one of my favorites

Well, that's it for now. Once we are in Alabama we should have lots more pictures from the move/road trip. We're planning on making stops at some pretty fun places. Until then, The Gillies.
